Our writing feedback program

All students have access to our writing feedback program. Academic writing is challenging as it requires a formal and sophisticated writing style. This sophistication is achieved through sentence structure (syntax), vocabulary choices and the cohesion of argument and ideas across an extended response.

  • Unlimited email and online support

    • Email or WhatsApp message your mentor with questions and receive timely feedback and assistance

  • Unlimited assistance with assessment preparation

    • You are encouraged to keep your mentor is up to date with school assessment notifications and task due dates

    • You can email plans and drafts of their extended response to their mentor for actionable and timely feedback. You must email mentors at least FIVE days before an assessment is due to leave adequate time to make changes on their written response.

1on1 Program

  • Recommended for students studying English Extension I or for students who want more personalised learning experience

  • Mentors often spend extra time with students during classes, especially before assessment period and thus adjust lesson times as required

  • Highly flexible format as students can schedule in additional sessions before assessment tasks and take breaks throughout the term as required

  • Collaborative goal setting

  • Support in writing applications for scholarships, university and others

  • Support in writing in other subject areas such as history, legal studies, economics (general grammar, sentence construction, clarity of ideas and response to the question). Please note that your mentor will never check the correctness of your ideas for extended responses in other subject areas. This is limited to 2x responses per term.
